Bill Belichick penned a heartfelt thank you to Patriots fans in a full page of the Boston Globe
This is good stuff from Bill Belichick.
During his time as New England Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick didn’t show much affection for, well, anything. Now that his tenure is over, though, the man in the hoodie is showing a softer side.
Belichick took a full page out of the Boston Globe Sunday for a thank you letter to fans, nearly a month after his split from the team. The last head coaching vacancy was finally filled Thursday, leaving Belichick without a seat for 2024. But it didn’t leave him without gratitude for his previous stop.
“Nowhere in America are pro sports fans as passionate as in New Engalnd and for 24 years, I was blessed to feel your passion and power,” Belichick wrote. “The Patriots are the only NFL team representing SIX states but in reality, Patriots Nations knows no borders.”
The legendary coach could potentially land a job during the 2025 hiring cycle, but he let Patriots fans know they’ll always be special to him.
“I loved coaching here and, together, we experienced some amazing moments. THANK YOU ALL. With respect and admiration, Bill Belichick,” the letter closed.
