7-foot-6 Tacko Fall is an NBA Summer League sensation
Crowds in Las Vegas are erupting every time Tacko Fall touches the ball.
Former UCF Knights big man Tacko Fall wasn’t selected in the 2019 NBA Draft, but he’s making the most of his summer with the Boston Celtics. The 7-foot-6 center became a national phenomenon during the 2019 NCAA tournament, and he might just be the most popular player at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
In two games, Fall has played a total of just 21 minutes, but in that time he’s posted a plus/minus of +27, with 18 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Whenever he touched the ball, fans in Vegas erupt.
Most of Fall’s production on the offensive end has come from easy dunks that opponents have no chance of blocking, but he’s also shown off a bit of skill in the paint.
Fall even received “MVP” chants at the free-throw line.
It’s unclear if Fall will make the Celtics roster, which is already full at the moment, but he’s easily worth a roster slot somewhere in the league based on fan support alone. Do the right thing, NBA execs.
