Vlad Guerrero Jr. had everyone in awe with his record-breaking round in Home Run Derby
Vlad Guerrero Jr. put on a SHOW.
Fans couldn’t wait to see Toronto Blue Jays rookie Vlad Guerrero Jr. compete in the Home Run Derby on Monday night and the 20-year-old rookie didn’t disappoint.
Guerrero put on a show in his first-round matchup with Oakland’s Matt Chapman, as his 29 home runs were the most-ever in a single round, edging Josh Hamilton’s 28 that he hit at Yankee Stadium back in 2008.
Guerrero, who has hit eight home runs in 61 games this season, belted a number of moonshots at Cleveland’s Progressive Field. And he said after that he was disappointed because he wanted to hit 30.
Players from both the American and National Leagues loved the show that he put on, because it was a thing of absolute beauty.
