Farah wins 3000m at London meet in season best
Mo Farah, Britain's Olympic and world champion over 5,000m and 10,000m, clocked the season's best time in the 3,000m at the London Diamond League meeting on Friday.
Farah won in a time of 7min 34.66sec with a final lap of 55secs helping him improve on the previous best in 2015 of 7min 35.13sec set by Kenya's Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku in Monaco earlier this month.
Farah, who came into the race still facing a furore over doping allegations levelled against his coach Alberto Salazar, was running his final race before defending his 5,000m and 10,000m titles at the world championships in Beijing in August.
