Getting tickets for the biggest concerts and events is a difficult task in 2016.
Gone are the days of buying a ticket at the door. With scalpers ready to jump on tickets as soon as they’re released, only to put the seats on sale minutes later for four times what they paid, in many cases the only way you can get tickets is if you’re ready to click "purchase" just as quickly as the scalpers are.
For this reason, we’ll be using this space to highlight buzzworthy shows with tickets you should try to snag before the scalpers do.
Drake
TicketmasterLast night amid the excitement of the NFL Draft and playoff basketball and hockey, Drake finally dropped “Views From the 6” on the radio waves to the delight of ears everywhere. He’s on tour with Future, playing huge rooms and a ton of dates, including a four-night stand at Madison Square Garden. If you pray to the 6 God, this is your chance to go to church.

Weezer
TicketmasterRivers Cuomo is one of the most prolific songwriters of our time. The guy just never stops putting out records. And while not all of them are hits, a whole lot of them are, and more importantly he’s clearly getting to say what he wants to say when he makes a record. With titles like “Thank God for Girls,” it’s good to know he’s still playful with his music.

Dawes
TicketmasterDawes is one of my favorite bands currently making music. While visiting London, I got to see them play in a church-turned-concert hall sitting just a few pews from the stage. The power went out in the middle of their set, forcing them to play a string of acoustic songs, all of which were angelic. Taylor Goldsmith is a poet in all the right ways. Seeing Dawes is well worth your money.
