April 17 is stated non-business day in Armenia
ArmInfo.April 17 Monday following Easter celebrating as a day of commemoration of the dead will be non-business day in Armenia this year. Instead of that, the business day will be May 6 Saturday. The correspondent ordinance was accepted
during Armenian Government Assembly on April 6.
According to David Harutyunyan, the Minister-Governor of the
Government administration, this year on April 16 Armenian Apostolic
Church will celebrate Easter, one of five main holy days in Armenia.
Traditionally, afterwards the nation visits graves of their relatives
(Merelots). "Considering that, I offer to postpone business April 17
Monday to May 6 Saturday" Harutyunyan stated. To note, Merelots
first was stated as a non-business day in Armenia by the
Prime-Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
