Eduard Sharmazanov: Like all other nations, the people of Artsakh has the self-determination right
ArmInfo. The Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov received the members of the Chamber of Deputies of the
Multinational Legislative Assembly of Bolivia Alicia Kanka, Nellie
Lance Rosso, Mario Mita, who arrived to participate in the
observatory mission on constitutional referendum in Artsakh.
As the parliament's press service told ArmInfo, The Vice President
praised the development of relations between the two states and the
role of parliamentarians in this regard. In this context, Sharmazanov
expressed his confidence that these relations will further deepen and
will enter a new phase of development.
He stressed the importance of the visit of Bolivian parliamentarians
during the constitutional referendum in Artsakh with the observatory
mission, noting that it demonstrates once again the commitment of the
Bolivian Plurinational Legislative Assembly of freedom, democracy and
human rights. "As any nation, the people of Artsakh has the right of
self-determination", said the Vice President. Sharmazanov also
thanked the Bolivian Parliament for the recognition of the Armenian
Genocide. He appealed to the coordinated work of the delegations of
both states in the inter-parliamentary exchanges and emphasized the
need of supporting each other on matters of mutual interests.
In their turn, the Bolivian parliamentarians noted the path of their
homeland towards the freedom and self- determination, stressed that
understands the just struggle of the people of Artsakh. "Our hearts
are with Artsakh and the Armenian people, it was an honor for us to
participate in the referendum on the Constitution of Artsakh, which
has become a holiday for the Artsakh people. For the development of
the state it is important that the people determine their own
destiny", said Nelly Lens Rosso.
To note, the delegation of the Chamber of Deputies of the
Plurinational Legislative Assembly of Bolivia visited the memorial to
the victims of the Armenian Genocide "Tsitsernakaberd", where members
of parliament laid flowers and observed a minute's silence in memory
of the holy martyrs. The guests visited the Museum-Institute of
Armenian Genocide, got acquainted with the documents and photographs
testifying about the crime century.
