Yerevan: Armenia does not like that Azerbaijan buys arms from Russia
ArmInfo. Armenia, of course, does not like that Azerbaijan buys arms from Russia, said the Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian in an interview to RIA
Novosti.
"Of course, we can not like that Azerbaijan buys arms from our ally,
which takes efforts including cooperation with Armenia as Minsk Group
Chairman, to set peace and stability in our region", said the
Minister.
At the same time he noted that Armenia has to take efforts to balance
the forces. "What about the "Arms Race". Not Armenia threatens to
start a new war, not Armenia is praises the amount of its military
budget and the number of arms bought, not Armenia violates the norms
of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE). We where
the witnesses of what it leads to in April 2016: naturally, we have
to take all the efforts to balance the forces in the region and not
to let any escalation and a new war happen", Nalbandian added.
