Ex-Premier of Armenia: It is necessary to regulate the CSTO state-members` relations with the third states
ArmInfo.Armenia in the CSTO should raise the issue of regulation of the relations of the member states with third countries, to avoid problems and misunderstandings
throughout the structure, said the Head of the Committee on Political
Affairs of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, ex-Premier Khosrov
Harutyunyan from the Parliament tribune, addressing the Defense
Deputy Minister of Armenia Ara Nazaryan.
That relates to all aspects, from strategic cooperation to political,
he noted. "It is necessary to regulate all aspects, from the sale of
weapons to third countries by Member States, to such aspects as the
blog writer Alexander Lapshin's extradition to Azerbaijan for
visiting the Nagorno-Karabkh Republic. A CSTO member-state(Belarus)
acts against another CSTO member-state(Armenia) in favor of the third
country(Azerbaijan), helping the escalation in the conflict
zone(Nagorno-Karabakh) in CSTO space, acting against the interests of
the organization", said Harutyunyan, telling that the Armenian
Delegation will surely raise that issue in the Parliamentary Assembly
of CSTO. According to him, the created situation brought to the claim to leave
the CSTO in Armenia, which is unacceptable, thinks Harutyunyan.
"Armenia need CSTO as much as CSTO needs Armenia. Serious defensive
structures are being created in Armenia by the CSTO support", resumed
the Ex-Premier.
