Candidate for post of Armenia`s Prosecutor General presents his program to parliamentarians
ArmInfo.Candidate for the post of Armenia's Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan has presented in the parliament the program he is going to implement if elected.
Davtyan promised to make the activity of the Prosecutor General's Office even more transparent, fight corruption and be open for discussions of any problems in any formats. In addition, the candidate promised prompt reforms, public access to the activity of the Prosecutor General's Office. He promised to accept many of the proposals he received during meetings with various public and political organizations. Davtyan said many reforms had been implemented in the system yet before him.
Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan resigned in August for health reason. Now, it is widely rumored that Kostanyan will replace Yuri Vardanyan on the post of Armenia's Ambassador to Georgia. Arthur Davtyan is Assistant Prosecutor General of Armenia. To be elected to the post of the Prosecutor General, he needs majority of votes in a secret voting at the parliament.
