Pro-government MP: Robert Kocharyan is behind "Tavush for Motherland" movement
ArmInfo. Even if all opposition MPs resign, there will be no early parliamentary elections. Vahagn
Aleksanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract faction, told reporters on May 21.
According to him, the issue of holding early elections, which the
opposition insists on, is not even being discussed. Aleksanyan called
for waiting for the start of the impeachment process of the Prime
Minister in the country's parliament, as was said by leader of the
Tavush for the Motherland movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, at
the same time noting that this process is doomed to failure.
The MP once again expressed the position of the authorities,
according to which the second president of RA, Robert Kocharyan, is
behind this movement, as evidenced by the participation of his
supporters in the movement. The parliamentarian also does not
consider the rally that took place on May 9 significant, emphasizing
that Kocharyan had already gathered a similar number of people before
the early elections in 2021.
