Tavush for Motherland movement will hold protest rally on Freedom Square tomorrow
ArmInfo. Tomorrow in Yerevan, actions of disobedience are planned from the very morning, and at
4:00pm a large protest rally in Freedom Square. This was stated by head of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Primate of the Tavush diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bagrat Srbazan on May
14 during a meeting in the courtyard of the Church of St. Anne.
"Tomorrow an important international forum will take place, in which
numerous international organizations will take part, and the head of
government will speak. He'll probably lie again. But each citizen has
the opportunity to express their voice of protest, disagreement, to
show that we do not agree with that strategy, or policy, whatever you
want to call it, which concerns the illegal process of delimitation
and demarcation of our borders," he said.
Srbazan also said that today he held meetings with representatives of
"I have honor" party, "Republican Party of Armenia", as well as with
former prime ministers - Hrant Bagratyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan and
Vazgen Manukyan. He noted that long discussions took place during
which thoughts, suggestions and visions were exchanged. "To my
surprise, everyone is internally inspired because they see what is
happening on the streets and in the houses. We are ready to bring
this entire flow to the result, which should be the triumph of truth.
We have no other choice, there's nothing to think about here," said
the head of the Tavush diocese.
Bagrat Srbazan also said that the parties have already started doing
their homework. At the same time, he noted that there is a need for
interaction with the "Civil Contract". "They behave badly, but that's
okay. Our mission is precisely to interact with those who behave
badly," said the leader of the Movement.
Tomorrow, the meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development will be held in the hall of the
Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, during which the speech of RA
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is planned.
