Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was told by the newly appointed
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of
Latvia Ingrid Levrentse (residence in Tbilisi).
According to the press service of the government, the newly appointed
ambassador of Latvia assured that she would make every effort to
deepen ties between the two countries. According to Ingrida Levrene,
it is necessary to work actively for the full realization of the
potential and development of relations between Armenia and Latvia in
the fields of education, IT, culture, bilateral cooperation, etc.N.
Pashinyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to
expansionbilateral relations with Latvia, as well as deepening
cooperation inwithin the European Union. Referring to the growth
opportunities of shoppingturnover between the two countries, the
Prime Minister noted thatThe government encourages foreign investment
in various sectors of the Armenian economy, including information and
high technologies, agriculture, industry and tourism. N. Pashinyan
touched upon reforms in the business environment, improvement of tax
legislation and investment protection, and also offered the
ambassador to introduce investment opportunities to Armenia to
Latvian businessmen.
