Artak Davtayan in Almaty took part in the 13th meeting of the CSTO Military Committee
ArmInfo. The head of the Armenian General Staff Artak Davtyan in Almaty took part in the 13th meeting of the CSTO Military Committee on the development of the
military component of the Organization.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of
Kazakhstan, the meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of
Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of
Kazakhstan Murat Maykeev.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the challenges
and threats to military security in the Central Asian region of
collective security, as well as measures to counter them. In
addition, the directions of the organization's further work on air
defense in the Central Asian region of collective security, the
creation of stocks of material resources to ensure the fulfillment of
tasks by the forces and means of the CSTO collective security system,
and the development of measures aimed at reducing tensions on the
Tajik-Afghan border have been defined.
Following the meeting, a number of agreements were reached aimed at
strengthening the collective security of the CSTO member states.
