Pashinyan: new stage in Armenian-Russian friendly and allied relations started
ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin. As the press service of the
Armenian government told ArmInfo, Pashinyan expressed the conviction
that as a result of interaction with the executive body of Armenia,
Armenian-Russian relations will continue to develop and strengthen.
The Armenian Premier stressed that a new stage had begun in the
Armenian-Russian friendly and allied relations and added that the
Armenian government is interested in developing cooperation in all
spheres. At the same time, Pashinyan stressed the importance of
effective cooperation also within the framework of the EAEU and the
CSTO in order to solve existing problems and improve the efficiency
of integration projects. In his turn, Kopyrkin assured that he would
do his best to impart new dynamics to the cooperation between the two
friendly and fraternal countries. According to the diplomat, given
the size of the Armenian-Russian historical relations, he feels great
responsibility in his new post and is ready to cooperate actively
with the Armenian government for the benefit of deepening contacts
between the two states.
At the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues on the agenda
of the Armenian-Russian relations.
