As the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry told ArmInfo, at the Nor-Nork police station, paperwork was started on the grounds of Art. 258 Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code - an obvious disrespectful attitude to society and a flagrant violation of public order.
In the IC they note that due to the measures taken it was found out
that from 10 am on April 20 to 01:30 am on April 21 a group of
people, ignoring the generally accepted administrative norms, moral
and legal norms, as well as the rights and freedoms of other
citizens, showed open disrespect to the society , did not obey the
call of the police to stop the lawlessness. "In connection with this
fact, five people were detained on suspicion of hooliganism: H.
Gevorgyan, N. Nazaryan, H. Khurshudyan, A. Gharibyan, A. Jabaghyan,"
the RA Defense Ministry said.
Another report of the RA SC reports on the arrest of three citizens
at the crossroads of Mashtots- Tumanyan in Yerevan on the charge of
participation in mass riots on the evening of April 17. "Roughly
violating the public order and showing disrespect to members of
society, young people broke the signs at the crossroads, tried to
break traffic lights and road signs. Then they stoned stones and
metal objects at police cars approaching the scene, applied violence
to the police, interfered with the work of journalists, "the report
said.
According to the investigation, B. Barseghyan (2000), R. Muradyan
(1986) and Z. Baghdatyan participated in rallies and processions held
in Yerevan from April 13, together with other participants of the
meeting, periodically blocked the streets, interrupting the road
movement. On the day after the march, its participants, including
those three persons indignant at the lawful demands of the police,
did not intend to gather in the French square, went to the
intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Tumanyan Street about 23 hours,
where mass riots began. "By jeopardizing public security, blocking
traffic, destroying and damaging traffic lights, road signs,
billboards, created a real threat to life and health of citizens,
attacked police cars. B. Barsegyan, R. Muradyan and IZ Baghdatyan are
charged under Part 2 of Article 225 of the Criminal Code. The arrest
was chosen as a measure of restraint, "the RA Defense Ministry said.
