Armenian Defense Ministry considers rating of the Global Military Power Index
ArmInfo. The Armenian Defense Ministry considers the rating of the Global Firepower Index to be insignificant.
Press Secretary of the Defense Ministry of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan, at the request of ArmInfo correspondent, to comment on the rating announced by the organization, in particular, noted: "This is not a serious rating, so I do not consider it appropriate to give any estimates of the data contained in it. If even to analyze this rating element, everything will become clear without comment. How can neighboring Georgia, where there is practically no regular army, outrank Armenia in the ranking by ten positions? This already speaks for itself."
To note, on August 31 the Global Firepower Index was published, according to which the United States has the strongest army in the world, on the second line is Russia. The top 10 strongest armies in the world included China, India, France, Great Britain, Japan, Turkey, Germany and Egypt.
Armenia took the 93rd line in this rating. Neighboring Azerbaijan is located on the 58th line, and Georgia - 82nd out of 133 countries.
It is noteworthy that the Armenian side has repeatedly stated that it has one of the most powerful armies in the region.
