Armenia’s foreign trade soars by 17.4 percent in quarter one
Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in January-March 2017 increased by 17.4% compared to the same period in 2016, amounting to $1.246.8 billion, according to preliminary data, released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).
The growth of imports outstripped the growth of exports. According to the NSS, exports grew by 16.5% to $443.1 million, while exports increased by 17.9% to about $803.7 million.
As a result, the negative foreign trade balance in January-March of this year was $360.6 million ($ 1 - 485.47 drams). --0--
