Armenia suggests creation of joint export-import venture with Iran
Armenian deputy minister of economic development and investments Hovhaness Azizyan met with the Iranian deputy minister of industry, mines and trade Modjaba Khosrothadzh and the deputy minister of agriculture Ali Akbar Mehrfardi to discuss ways to boost bilateral ties saying also that Armenia would welcome creation of a joint export-import venture.
During the meetings held in Tehran, it was noted that a joint Armenian-Iranian venture would contribute to the growth of Armenian exports to Iran, as well as to the growth of exports of Iranian products to the markets that enjoy preferential trade regime with Armenia.
"The Iranian side, welcoming this idea, suggested that we discuss all possible mechanisms for its implementation," the Armenian ministry said in a press release.
