Russia continues efforts for achieving peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict - Putin
Russia continues assistance to the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the search of a peaceful solution to the conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after talks with his visiting Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan in Moscow today.

Russia continues assistance to the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the search of a peaceful solution to the conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after talks with his visiting Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan in Moscow today. He said the Karabakh conflict featured high in his talks with Serzh Sargsyan.‘Russia continues rendering all possible assistance to the search for a mutually acceptable solution to the conflict both within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group and in direct contacts with Yerevan and Baku," Putin said.
He was quoted by Novosti-Armenia as saying that Moscow and Yerevan continue constructive interaction also within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO ).
Putin was said to have thanked Armenia for providing humanitarian assistance to the population of Syria, noting that the humanitarian cargo was transported to this Arab republic by Russian military aircraft.
The Russian president reminded also that the fifth Russian-Armenian inter-regional forum was held in Yerevan at the end of last year. According to him, the Russian side expects further expansion of cooperation between the regions of the two states. -0-
