Armenian brandy production soars by 29 percent
Armenia’s brandy production in the first 11 months of 2016 soared by 29.1% when compared to the same period of 2015 amounting to about 19 8 million liters, according to the latest numbers, released by the National Statistical Service.
Vodka production decreased by 19.6% to 6.8 million liters, while whiskey production increased by 1.3 times to over 1.3 million liters.
Also production of champagne during the reporting period increased by 17.4% to 495,600 liters. Beer production in January-November of the past year declined by 10.4% to 17.8 million liters. Production of non-alcoholic beverages dropped by 7.7% to 67.2 million liters. -0-
