Russian Eldorado retailer to open first store in Armenia
Eldorado, Russia's second largest retailer of consumer electronics and household appliances is opening its first store in the Armenian capital Yerevan, marketing director for Elmarket (Eldorado brand) Nushik Tonoyan told ARKA.
She said apart from consumer electronics and home appliances, the store will be selling also other household products, products for mothers and children, toys, sports equipment, power tools, garden products and more.
Tonoyan added that in the near future the online store Eldorado.am will be launched to secure delivery of goods across the country. Along with that, the store will offer various loyalty programs for consumers, such as best price guarantee, return and exchange of goods for 20 days and a bonus funded system.
"The company plans to carry out a flexible price policy, so the prices will be no higher than those at the local market. Despite high level competition, we believe that Eldorado has a great potential in Armenia", - Tonoyan said. According to her, the store has hired 40 people.
"In 2017 we are planning to open two more stores and increase the personnel up to 100 people," - she said.
Eldorado maintains a presence in more than 200 cities in various regions of the Russian Federation. The company develops multichannel sales and operates the largest network of over 600 stores throughout the country.
Eldorado is a five-time Consumer Rights and Quality of Service Award winner in the best retail chain category, a two-time winner of the People's Brand (2012, 2014), and was named the Company of the Year 2012 and 2013 HR Brand.
Eldorado was founded in 1994; PPF Group entered the company in 2009 by acquiring 50% + 1 share; in 2011 PPF completed the buyout of all remaining shares. As of June 2015, PFF Group owned 80% of Eldorado. -0-
