Government to close project implementation offices and save 273 million drams
The Armenian government decided today to shut down several project implementation offices and save 273 million drams.
More precisely, the government will close the office for implementation of emergency projects as a result of which it will save 65.5 million drams, the office for implementation of cultural projects of the ministry of culture (66.5 million drams), the office for implementation of projects of the ministry of sport and youth affairs (61 million drams).
The government will also close the office for the implementation of projects for Arpa-Sevan tunnel (80 million drams) and will merge two government-financed companies working in the field of water management.
"I like this decision", - said prime minister Karen Karapetyan, commenting on the Cabinet decision.
Finance minister Vardan Aramyan told reporters that the government is working to streamline resources to avoid duplication of functions. ($ 1 - 476.16 drams). -0-
