Armenia’s brandy output grows about 51% in 1st Q
Armenia’s brandy output grew 50.6% in Jan-March 2016, compared with the same period a year before, to 3,409,900 liters, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
According to the National Statistical Service, the country also produced 1,441,300 liters of wine in Jan-March 2016 showing a 5.2% year-on-year growth.
Armenia’s vodka output shrank 23.8% in Jan-March 2016, compared with the same period a year earlier, to 1,974,800 liters, while whiskey output grew five times to 394.3 liters.
Some 85,200 liters of champagne were produced in the country in Jan-March 2016 against 53,200 in the same period a year before (60.2% year-on-year growth) and 2,569,700 liters of beer (7% decline).
The country also produced 11,620,500 liters of soft drinks in Jan-March 2016 accounting for a 14.9% decline. --0----
