About 400,000 trafick breaches reported this year
In the first 11 months 2015 some 398,560 traffic breaches were registered by road police, by 50,265 cases more than in the first 11 months of 2014, chief of traffic police Norik Sargsyan told a news conference today.
According to Sargsyan, the main causes of road accidents in Armenia in 2015 were drink-driving, speeding and inattention.
He said also 3,104 road accidents were reported, which killed 308 people and injured another 4,304.
"The number of road accidents involving pedestrians has dropped this year due to preventive measures,' said Sargsyan. -0-
