Armenian parliament to hold extraordinary session November 10
The Armenian parliament will convene on November 10 for an extraordinary session, parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan said today.
Since the beginning of the autumn session Armenian lawmakers have had three four-day sessions having discussed only the draft constitutional reform, a report on the monetary policy of the Central Bank for the first quarter, as well as the Ombudsman's report for 2014.
The referendum on constitutional reforms is scheduled for December 6. The package of reforms, which introduce a plan to change the governance system of the country from the so-called semi-presidential to parliamentary republic, was backed by a vote of 104 to 10 and 3 abstentions in Armenia’s National Assembly on October 5. -0-
