Armenia’s agricultural sector’s 2022 budget to grow by almost 35 %
Armenia’s agricultural sector, overseen by the Ministry of Economy, will have its 2022 budget increased by 34.9% or 6.12 billion drams, Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan said at a preliminary discussion of the draft 2022 state budget in parliament today.
YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s agricultural sector, overseen by the Ministry of Economy, will have its 2022 budget increased by 34.9% or 6.12 billion drams, Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan said at a preliminary discussion of the draft 2022 state budget in parliament today.
He said the overall budget of the sector is 23.637 billion drams, more than half of the ministry’s earmarked budget of 41.354 billion drams.
The draft budget of the government designed for 2022 calls for 1 trillion 946 billion drams in revenue, which is by 17% more in comparison with 2021, and by 25% more in comparison with 2020.
The spending is set at 2 trillion 190 billion drams, which is by 10% more than in 2021 and by 16% more that in 2020.
The budget of the Ministry of the Environment will be cut by 2.443 billion drams to 6.771 billion drams. Minister of the Environment Romanos Petrosyan explained the cut by the completion of a program that was designed to assist specially protected natural areas in Syunik, implemented with a grant from the German bank KfW.
