Armenia’s gross agricultural output should reach 1.43 trillion drams in 2026, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said today.
YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s gross agricultural output should reach 1.43 trillion drams in 2026, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said today.
Kerobyan told a parliament discussion of next year’s draft budget that that the most important agricultural measure next year is a land reform, which he said should help to dramatically increase the output through expansion of cultivated land areas and attracting large investments.
"According to the strategy developed for 2020-2030, gross agricultural output in 2026 should amount to 1.43 trillion drams. Our actions and programs are fully adapted to achieve this goal," he said.
Armenia’s agricultural sector, overseen by the Ministry of Economy, will have its 2022 budget increased by 34.9% or 6.12 billion drams to 23.637 billion drams, more than half of the ministry’s earmarked budget of 41.354 billion drams. -0-
