Production of Armenian brandy drops by 11.6 percent in seven months
In the first seven months of 2015 production of brandy in Armenia decreased by 11.6% from the year earlier to 7.740 million liters, while production of wine increased by 10.2% to a little over 3 million liters, according to the latest numbers, released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).
Production of vodka in the same time span fell by 1.7% to about 5 million liters, and production of whiskey, started in April, reached 471,300 liters.
Production of champagne grew to 198,000 liters from 186,600 liters a year ago. In the first seven months of this year some 13.4 million liters of beer were produced, a 13% decline from the year before..
Production of non-alcoholic beverages amounted to 41.4 million liters , which was 3.8% more than in the same period in 2014. -0-
