Karabakh president visits fish farm in Mataghis
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) president Bako Sahakyan visited today the village of Mataghis in Martakert region to see how a fish farm there was working, his press service said. Sahakyan was quoted as describing this new industry as ‘very promising’ for the NKR economy.
The president visited also several farms in the village of Talish in Martakert region, where he was shown a rain irrigation system. Sahakyan spoke to farmers about the importance of modern technologies in agriculture saying they contribute to the increase in the productivity forming also a new culture of farming.
The president was said to meet also with the residents of the village to look into their problems and promised government support to rural communities located close to the border. Sahakyan was accompanied by prime minister Ara Harutyunyan and other officials. -0-
