Armenian delegation takes part in 'Combat Commonwealth - 2017' exercise
An Armenian military delegation, headed by Colonel Armen Vardanyan, the chief of Air Defense Forces, will take part in a joint exercise with live firings dubbed "Combat Commonwealth-2017", the press service of the Armenian defense ministry said.
The Armenian military delegation will also take part in the meeting of the Coordination Committee on Air Defense Issues of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers on September 4-6 in Moscow.
The press service also said that the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant-General Movses Hakobyan will attend the final, active stage of the exercise.
The joint exercise "Combat Commonwealth-2017" will involve air defense units of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. The remaining members of the joint CIS air defense system will be present at the maneuvers as observers. In total, more than 2,000 servicemen and more than 200 units of combat and special equipment will be involved in the war game. -0-
