Very refreshing
The young royals are known for being pretty down-to-earth. From Kate Middleton shopping in Sainsbury’s to her favourite takeaway order, and the royal WhatsApp group, over the years we’ve been made privy to lots of ways in which they’re a very normal family.
William and Kate recently made headlines earlier this year when they took a commercial flight with FlyBe to Aberdeen with their three children – and now, Kate has been spotted taking public transport once again.
On Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge travelled to Norfolk to open children’s hospice The Nook as part of her ongoing work with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
It was an emotional visit for the duchess, as the organisation is one she has supported since she first became a member of the royal family eight years ago. It’s also where she gave her very first speech in 2012.
Before opening the new hospice in Framlingham Earl, though, Kate chose a pretty normal method of transport to get to work that day: by commuter train.
In an Instagram video, the duchess can be seen leaving the platform and making her way through the station among members of the public, with a very small team and very little fuss.

Pretty refreshing, no?
Royals, they’re just like us!
