Ten days of stepping all over the GOP convention debacle
Donald Trump is making the next ten days a beautiful path ahead for the Clinton campaign.
First, in the next few days we will see how a real presidential campaign handles a VP rollout in Florida, one of the few key opportunities to connect to the contested state voters. Democrats can milk that for three days.
Monday, we will get to see a real first lady deliver a speech that isn't plagiarized. Follow that up with Bernie Sanders, sure to deliver the fire, heart and head.
Tuesday comes the Big Dog putting his heart and soul in for his lifelong soulmate. I suspect we will see our next vice president on this night as well.
Wednesday we will see Joe Biden and his unique way of appealing to the better side of our collective selves. Then comes the president. It is sure to be a victorious final lap around the track. It’s going to bring tears to my eyes because I remember the lonely days of yore when they said this day would never come.
Finally Thursday, a historic day for America as it is the first time in American history a woman is nominated by a major party for president. It will be an extraordinary day for American women. That's good enough to roll right on through the weekend, as I expect all principals will be deployed throughout the country in the wake of the convention.
As long as real events don't get in the way, we're set to step all over the unmitigated disaster that has been the GOP convention.
