Lady Gaga to Perform at Producers Guild Awards

Lady Gaga will perform “Til It Happens to You,” her Oscar-nominated song from the documentary “The Hunting Ground” at the 27th Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, the PGA announced on Thursday.

This kind of performance is rare for the Producers Guild Awards, and the song – written by Diane Warren and Lady Gaga – is in a competitive race for Best Original Song at the upcoming Oscars. But “The Hunting Ground,” which was directed by Kirby Dick and deals with rape on college campuses, has already been named the winner of the guild’s Stanley Kramer Award, which goes to a film that “illuminates and raises public awareness of important social issues.”

Producer Amy Ziering will accept the award during the ceremony, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

In a statement, Producers Guild Awards co-chairs Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd said, “Well beyond her status as one of the most exciting performers working today, we admire and appreciate Lady Gaga‘s commitment as an outspoken advocate for those whose voices often go unheard. In her activism, she truly embodies the spirit of Stanley Kramer, and we are doubly honored to have her join us in honoring ‘The Hunting Ground’ in his name.”

Lady Gaga recently won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in “American Horror Story: Hotel.” The Oscar nomination for “Til It Happens to You” is her first, and Diane Warren’s eighth.
