Anti-Corruption Court targets inner circle of former PM Hovik Abrahamyan
Specifically, as noted in the supervisory authority's statement, in one of the lawsuits, the Department for Confiscation of Illegally Produced Assets of the Prosecutor General's Office demands to confiscate from former National Assembly member Henrikh Abrahamyan and his associates surrender 13 real estate properties in favor of the Republic of Armenia, 12 of which are located in the village of Mkhchyan in the Artashat community of the Ararat region, one in the village of Marmarashen in the Masis community, five cars, and participation in two legal entities. The remaining illegally obtained funds amount to approximately 270 million 840,000 drams.
In another lawsuit, the Prosecutor General's Office demands to confiscate from Vahan Mamikonyan, former Deputy Prosecutor of the Shengavit district of Yerevan, former head of a department of the State Tax Administration, and persons associated with him, 8 real estate properties in favor of the Republic of Armenia, 3 of which are located in the village of Mkhchyan in the Artashat community of the Ararat region, 1 in the village of Marmarik in the Tsaghkadzor district of the Kotayk region, 1 in the Kentron administrative district of Yerevan, 3 in the village of Nshavan in the Artashat community of the Ararat region, as well as 446 million 691,000 drams as the remainder of illegally acquired funds.
In another lawsuit, the Prosecutor General's Office demands to confiscate from Vladimir Tamrazyan, who held the positions of Head of the Customs Service Department of the State Revenue Committee, Deputy Head of the Ararat Regional Customs Office, Head of the Zvartnots Customs Office of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, and Head of the Western Customs Department of the State Revenue Committee, three vehicles, a stake in one legal entity, and 303,918,000 drams as the remaining illegal funds, in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
