Former deputy Yuri Karmazin proclaimed himself the hetman of the Ukrainian Cossacks
The First All-Great Rada of the Cossacks of Ukraine elected ex-deputy Yuri Karmazin as his hetman.
Karmazin reported this on his Facebook page.
According to him, about 260 delegates from Cossack organizations from all regions of Ukraine attended the congress. During his election, Karmazin was dressed in a solemn suit with many awards. Including, the order, similar to the star of the Hero of Ukraine, although he does not have such a title.
Social networks criticized and ridiculed Yuri Karmazin's election as hetman. So, some users, in particular, blogger Roman Donik, were indignant that members of the Cossack organizations in the fifth year of the war did not gather to go to the Donbass, but to choose "the best dressed." And journalist Denis Kazansky noted that "the Cossacks in Ukraine have long turned into a mafia structure."
Recall, Yuri Karmazin was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of several convocations. In 2016 he became one of the leaders of the so-called "Revolutionary Right Forces", who seized the hotel "Kazatsky and tried to organize the" third Maidan ". Before Yuri Karmazin, the hetman of all Ukraine was ex-president Viktor Yushchenko.
