According to the 23-year-old, he and the Nigerian youngster have been in various forms of discussion ahead of the first leg billed for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Friday march 25.
“I told him that it will be hard for Nigeria to beat Egypt,” Elneny told popular Arab satellite television, MBC.
“I have a good feeling that we will be able to win the match. Nigeria is a good tough team but we’re good too. I also feel that I am surrounded by support from everyone encouraging us to get back to winning,” said Elneny.
However, Pharaohs of Egypt coach Hector Cuper has been mandated to beat Nigeria or get sacked. Although more pressure should be on Nigeria as they trail the Egyptians, according to supersport.com, pressure is mounting on the Pharaohs, especially their coach.
This is as a result of the streak of awful performances against Libya and Jordan that included a surprise 0-1 loss to the latter.

Finally against Burkina Faso where the Pharaohs clawed out a 2-0 win, behind another very wobbly performance, the EFA big wigs had seen enough, and drew the line in the sand.
It was clearly spelt out by the Egyptian FA that the Argentine must lead Egypt to qualify for the 2017 AFCON or get fired immediately.
The coach will rely on Arsenal Star Mohamed Elneny and AS Roma forward Mohamed Salah to spearhead the attack for his team.
