Rain and high surf in store for Bay Area
A storm passing through the San Francisco Bay Area is forecast to bring rain showers just in time for the afternoon commute on Monday, forecasters said. The coastal mountains in the North Bay should get an inch while the valleys are predicted to pick up around half an inch of precipitation. “These large waves can be erratic and unpredictable so use caution near the surf zone as these large waves will be capable of sweeping people into the frigid and turbulent ocean waters,” the weather service advisory says.
