Tengrinews.kz — During a meeting at Akorda, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of the visit by the co-founder and CEO of NVIDIA for strengthening bilateral cooperation and expressed gratitude for his personal contribution to the development of the national artificial intelligence ecosystem, citing the Akorda press service.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that this visit is of great significance in providing a major boost to cooperation with NVIDIA.
"I would like to personally thank you for your contribution to strengthening our partnership and for what you are doing for Kazakhstan," the Head of State said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev identified the development of artificial intelligence and digitalization as a national priority and recalled that the current year has been declared the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in the country.
The President welcomed NVIDIA's partnership with Higgsfield. He stated that Kazakhstan is proud to have the company as part of its domestic technological landscape.
Note: NVIDIA is an American technology company founded in 1993 and a global leader in the development of graphics processing units (GPUs) and accelerated computing. Originally gaining fame for its GeForce line of graphics cards for the gaming industry, the company transformed the market with the creation of the CUDA architecture, which allowed graphics chips to be used for parallel computing. Today, NVIDIA is a key driver of the global AI revolution, providing specialized hardware and software for training and running the world's largest neural networks and data centers. In addition to hardware solutions, the corporation actively develops platforms for autonomous vehicles, robotics, supercomputing, and cloud gaming. In recent years, driven by the AI boom, the company has seen phenomenal growth in market capitalization, joining the ranks of the world's most valuable public corporations.
The head of NVIDIA praised the strategic goal set by the President at the onset of the new industrial revolution: to transform Kazakhstan into an AI nation—a state focused on the development and widespread implementation of artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, Jensen Huang suggested that Kazakhstan become a global hub for Physical AI.
"The development of artificial intelligence primarily requires energy resources, as well as people with expertise in science, mathematics, and technology. Kazakhstan possesses significant potential for development in each of these areas," Jensen Huang stated.
He also pointed to the significant progress made over the past year in NVIDIA's cooperation with Kazakhstan, specifically highlighting the strengthening ties with technology companies.
"Over the past year, our cooperation has yielded significant results. We are developing partnerships with Kazakhstani companies, including Firebird AI KZ Ltd and Kazakhtelecom, and we support Higgsfield—Kazakhstan's first tech unicorn, which has become a notable participant in the global technological ecosystem. I am very impressed and proud of the work we have done together. This is only the beginning of a long journey. I am grateful that your country has chosen to cooperate with us," the company head concluded.
The Head of State awarded Jensen Huang the Order of Dostyk (Friendship) of the 1st degree for his contribution to the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.
