Tokayev awarded Oman's highest state order
Haitham bin Tariq Al Said presented Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with the Sultanate of Oman's highest state decoration — the Order of Al Said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also presented Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman with the Order of the Golden Eagle (Altyn Kyran).
In his speech, the President emphasized that the Sultan's visit is historic, marking a genuine breakthrough in bilateral relations. He added that Oman is a strategically important and time-tested partner for Kazakhstan in the Arab world, noting that cooperation between the two nations has flourished in a spirit of trust, mutual understanding, and support for over three decades.

"Today, as we welcome Your Majesty to Astana, we are elevating our relations to a historically significant level. This is the first state visit by a Sultan of Oman to Kazakhstan and Central Asia. I view this visit as a sign of sincere respect for my country and a symbol of our mutual desire to expand trade and cooperation in all areas of common interest—from traditional sectors like oil and gas to emerging fields such as transport and logistics, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, as well as the exchange of information on trade opportunities and agricultural products. We are pleased to have a strategic partner in Oman and will do everything possible to remain a reliable partner for your country," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated.
The President also highlighted Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said's unwavering personal commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, describing him as a great statesman.
"Your visionary approach to governance and your many years of service to your people command deep respect. The people of Kazakhstan hold you in the highest regard and are proud to call Oman not just a partner, but a friendly and brotherly state. By investing in human capital, implementing innovations, and building a future-oriented economy, you clearly demonstrate how strategic vision can transform a nation and ensure its sustainable prosperity. The Oman Vision 2040 program reflects your strategic course toward creating a diversified, competitive, and sustainable economy while preserving the country's national identity, values, and traditions. As a true leader, a champion of peace, and the embodiment of wisdom, you continue to inspire many people around the world and high-level politicians alike," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President further touched upon Oman's role in strengthening regional stability, promoting interfaith dialogue, and implementing humanitarian initiatives.
"Your ability to build bridges between different parties and foster mutual understanding has helped secure Oman’s unique position in regional and international affairs. We highly value this approach. Your country is rightfully considered one of the most effective, fair, and impartial international mediators. Your historic visit will forever remain a major milestone in the annals of Kazakhstan-Oman relations. It is a great honor for me to present Your Majesty with the Order of the Golden Eagle in recognition of your invaluable contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship between our peoples," the Head of State noted.
