Ozon offers sellers option to ship goods to Kazakhstan after series of fires in Russia

Tengrinews.kz — Ozon has invited sellers to send inventory to Kazakhstan. The announcement appeared in a Telegram channel for Ozon Marketplace sellers.
“We invite you to store your goods at our facilities in Almaty and Astana. From there, we will be able to deliver orders to customers in Russia without any problems, while sales in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will also increase thanks to faster delivery for local Ozon customers,” the post said.
Sellers were also told about other advantages of storing goods in Kazakhstan. These include the absence of supply restrictions and delivery of orders to Russia within several days.

“No additional documents are required for shipments to Almaty and Astana — simply create a supply request as usual and select the Kazakhstan clusters,” the post added.

In recent months, Ozon and Wildberries warehouses in Russia have been targeted by drone attacks. Following a series of fires at logistics facilities in Russia, Wildberries began searching for available warehouse space in Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration previously said it had not yet received any official requests from the company regarding additional warehouse capacity. At the same time, the ministry stressed that it was ready to consider such proposals if they comply with national interests and legal requirements.
