Traffic on Almaty – Taraz highway to be temporarily restricted due to repairs
Tengrinews.kz — A section of the Almaty–Taraz highway via the new Korday Pass in the Zhambyl region is set to undergo repairs. The work will span from kilometer 159 to 238, citing KazAvtoZhol.
Starting from August 7, daily from 08:00 to 20:00, temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect for Taraz-bound vehicles.

"During the repair period, traffic traveling from Almaty toward Taraz will be diverted to an alternative route via the Otar–Korday–Kaynar highway (the old Korday Pass)," KazAvtoZhol announced.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, follow temporary road signs, and adhere to speed limits in the construction zone.
According to the company's press service, the repairs are expected to be completed within approximately one month..

July 29 to August 12, 2026: Astana–Karaganda highway, from Kobda Lane to A-135 Street;July 30 to August 25, 2026: Almaty–Tonkeris–Bayserke–Mezhdurechensk;July 24 to November 30, 2026: Medeu–Tuyuk Su;
August 5 to August 25, 2026: a section of the Alash Highway in Astana.
