“Now we name them”: Kazakhstan cracks down on trash streamers

Tengrinews.kz — Hype built on pain, a staged kidnapping and pranks involving a stun gun ended in fines and arrests for several Kazakh streamers. This was reported by the Interior Ministry’s press service.
The most serious punishment was given to 20-year-old Shymkent resident Daniyar Seidaliyev. According to the ministry, during a livestream he decided to prank viewers and staged a kidnapping using a stun gun. The broadcast was accompanied by obscene language and a gross violation of public order.
The court sentenced him to eight days of administrative arrest.
Another case occurred in Zhambyl Region. Nineteen-year-olds Zharkynai Baibek and Asylzhan Tanaberganov deliberately hit each other during streams in order to attract an audience and receive more donations. They were also brought to administrative responsibility.

Among those who came to the authorities’ attention was also 37-year-old Astana resident Indira Yeshtayeva, known on TikTok under the nickname “Bauyrsaq.” According to the Interior Ministry, during livestreams she used obscene language and distributed immoral content. She was fined for petty hooliganism.
In Almaty, 32-year-old content creator Aktore Batyrbek, known under the nickname “Aktore,” was arrested for five days. According to the ministry, during a stream he insulted people around him and used obscene language.
A fine was also imposed on Zhambyl Region resident Lailo Kasymova, known on TikTok under the nickname “Altyn qyz.” The Interior Ministry said she repeatedly went live using obscene language and posted unlawful content.
In total, according to the ministry, nine people were brought to administrative responsibility.
The Interior Ministry believes such broadcasts are created for popularity and income from views.

“These citizens deliberately crossed the line for likes, views and donations. During livestreams, including TikTok streams, they used obscene language, demonstrated indecent behavior, staged dangerous pranks and insulted people,” Interior Ministry official representative Shyngys Alekeshev said.

According to him, it is particularly concerning that such content is regularly watched by children and teenagers.
The ministry emphasized that anonymity on the internet does not exempt anyone from responsibility.

“There is no need to think that one can hide behind an anonymous account or a phone screen. The Interior Ministry has all the necessary tools to identify any offender. Every such case will be detected. Going forward, we will name offenders and show them solely for preventive purposes,” Alekeshev noted.

He added that the Interior Ministry will continue to identify such violations and hold their authors accountable. According to the ministry representative, police are also reviewing complaints from users who report unlawful content on social media.
