When will heating be turned on in Almaty in 2026? Date announced

Tengrinews.kz - Due to a sharp drop in temperatures, the heating season in Almaty will begin earlier than usual.

Connection to the central heating system in Almaty will begin on October 9.

“Heat will first be supplied to social facilities — kindergartens, schools and medical institutions,” the Almaty Department of Energy and Water Supply said.

When residential buildings will be connected
Residential buildings will begin to be connected from October 10.

“After heat is supplied to the building, condominium and property owners’ association specialists will adjust the internal heating systems — release air from radiators and risers, regulate pressure and ensure even heating throughout apartments,” the department explained.

Almaty Heating Networks LLP said the company has completed preparations for winter. The company has stockpiled materials and equipment in case of emergencies.
During the 2026–2027 heating season, 16 emergency and repair crews will be on duty in the city, comprising 220 specialists and 56 vehicles and pieces of equipment.
Earlier, it was reported that the heating season in Astana began earlier, with the city akimat setting the start date for October 2. According to official information, hydraulic tests were carried out on heating networks as part of preparations, identified faults were repaired, and all scheduled repair and modernization work was completed.
