Natural resources worth almost a billion tenge exported from Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - In the Ulytau Region, authorities have stopped the activities of a group that, according to the Financial Monitoring Agency, was illegally mining manganese ore and exporting it outside Kazakhstan. The value of the raw material sold exceeded 950 million tenge.

According to the FMA, the illegal mining operation was organized at the Vostochny quarry in the city of Karazhal. Heavy quarry equipment was used, including excavators, loaders and dump trucks.

A production base was also set up at the quarry, where the extracted raw material was processed using a crushing and washing complex.

Ore was exported abroad

After processing, the manganese ore was transported outside Kazakhstan by truck using accompanying documents.

The volume of ore sold exceeded 4,000 cubic meters, while its value surpassed 950 million tenge.

The investigation is ongoing.
