Heavy rains to hit Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have presented the weather forecast for August 20, 21 and 22.
According to meteorologists, heavy rain, thunderstorms and stronger winds are expected across Kazakhstan in the coming days. At the same time, intense heat will persist in western regions and the southeast, with temperatures reaching up to +41°C in some areas.
Where heavy rain is expected
From August 20 to 22, rain and thunderstorms are forecast across most of Kazakhstan. Hail is possible in some areas, while winds are expected to strengthen.
Fog is also expected in some northern areas at night and in the morning.
Heavy rain is forecast:
on August 20 — in central regions;on August 21 — in eastern Kazakhstan;on August 22 — in the northwest and mountainous areas of the southeast.
Where the heat will persist
Despite the rain, intense heat will continue in western and southeastern Kazakhstan. Daytime temperatures will range from +30°C to +38°C, while some areas of Mangystau Region may see temperatures reach +41°C.
Across the rest of the country, temperatures are not expected to change significantly.
Daytime temperatures will range from +20°C to +30°C in Kostanay Region, +17°C to +28°C in northern regions, and +17°C to +30°C in central and eastern areas.
In southern Kazakhstan, daytime temperatures will range from +30°C to +38°C.
