“You bear personal responsibility”: Bektenov warns akims and ministers
Tengrinews.kz — Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reminded akims and heads of government agencies of their personal responsibility for completing all repair work at the country’s energy facilities. He made the statement at a government meeting on Tuesday.
Speaking at the government meeting, Bektenov addressed the implementation of the National Project for Infrastructure Modernization. According to him, all the necessary regulatory framework has already been adopted, financing mechanisms have been defined, and large-scale repair campaigns have started in the regions.
At the same time, the prime minister emphasized that to achieve the set goals, it is necessary not only to maintain but also to increase the pace of infrastructure modernization.
He named the timely signing of contracts and receipt of financing in the regions as one of the key issues.
“I instruct regional akimats to take appropriate measures within two weeks on projects being implemented this year. Together with the ministries of industry and construction, energy, and national economy, ensure the completion of all planned repair campaigns by the end of the year. Regional akims bear personal responsibility for this,” Bektenov warned.
In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Construction was instructed to accelerate the state examination of design and estimate documentation for infrastructure projects.
The prime minister also instructed officials to begin preparations now for the implementation of measures planned for 2027. By September 1, akimats must submit applications for their projects on the electronic platform and coordinate them with all interested parties. According to him, all tender procedures must be completed by December 1.
“Every leader bears personal responsibility for achieving the National Project’s target indicators and for the timely implementation of all planned measures. It is necessary to mobilize all available resources,” Olzhas Bektenov concluded.
