Trump caps off day in court with all-caps Truth Social spree
Former President Donald Trump capped off another day in court by going on a late-night Truth Social posting spree.
Among other things, Trump wrote an all-caps rant demanding he be given total immunity from all criminal prosecution.
"IF A PRESIDENT DOES NOT HAVE IMMUNITY, THE COURT WILL BE 'OPENING THE FLOODGATES' TO PROSECUTING FORMER PRESIDENTS," he wrote in all capital letters. "AN OPPOSING HOSTILE PARTY WILL BE DOING IT FOR ANY REASON, ALL OF THE TIME!"
The remark was in lieu of an expected decision to come down from the Supreme Court about his criminal immunity claims, where he has said that his efforts to illegally remain in power after losing the 2020 election were official presidential acts and thus cannot be subject to prosecution.
In addition to this, Trump also quoted conservative legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, who argued that "weaponization of the law or 'lawfare,' by any means, is now justified."
And then the former president hyped up a May 23 rally he intends to host in the Bronx.
