OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A man was arrested on Thursday in connection to the death of a five-week-old baby in 2023.
On October 27, 2023, Oklahoma City Police responded to an apartment complex in south Oklahoma City around 10:30 p.m. regarding a baby suffering a medical episode.
Upon arrival, officers found a five-week-old baby and took him to a nearby hospital where it was discovered he had injuries consistent with child abuse.
According to police, the child died from his injuries five days later. Crimes Against Children investigators learned the baby had been in the care of 24-year-old Xavien Hogan.
After the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the death was a homicide in April, an arrest warrant was issued for Hogan.
OKCPD says Hogan was arrested on Thursday, May 16, in east Texas by the U.S. Marshal's Service.
