‘It’s like a mullet with curtain bangs’ say people as a woman’s visit to ‘luxury’ hairdressers becomes the ‘worst’ ever
IMAGINE the excitement of getting your hair cut for the first time in years – and then leaving with ”a mullet with curtain bangs”?
Well, unfortunately this is exactly what happened to one woman whose dream of a wavy bob soon turned into the ”worst haircut experience” of her life.
In a video posted on TikTok, the woman named Elisabetta explained how a visit to ”the most famous luxury chain in the UK” went horribly wrong.
According to the young woman, this was her first haircut in the last five years and she’d asked the professional for a short, wavy bob sitting right below her jawline.
But despite showing the inspiration photo she had in mind, Elisabetta felt as if the hairdresser was simply doing whatever he wanted – and the end result was a total disaster.
Instead of the on-trendy look she’d asked for, the hair whizz had left such a mess on her head that horrified people on social media reckoned it had to be ”personal”.
The hair, she showed off in the now-viral video, was so choppy, it was different lengths from different angles, with longer sections at the front, shorter bits by the ears and longer hair at the back.
Sharing the mortifying story on the platform, where she posts under the username @lifewithelish, Elisabetta added the hairdresser said he’d thought he was doing her ”a favour by making it ‘more manageable at home”’.
Although she was far from pleased with the hair makeover, the client was ”too chocked to argue” when it came to paying for the major flop.
The woman did add that pressing the ”no” option when it came to tipping the salon had ”never felt to good”.
However, the salon have since agreed to offer Elisabetta two complimentary cuts with their most experienced and most expensive stylists in the team, one of which she received the following day.
Despite the new hairdo looking significantly better than the initial mess, the woman noted she was ”still really, really unhappy with it”.
”But it is what it is for now and I’m just gonna have to go with it,” said Elisabetta, who will receive the second free hairdo once her hair’s grown out a bit more.
Since being shared on the social media platform, the video has racked up a whopping 1.6million views in just one day, leaving thousands gobsmacked.
One wondered: ”Were they blindfolded? They did you so dirty.”
Someone else chimed in: ”It’s like a mullet with curtain bangs.”
”Press charges immediately! Someone needs to do time for this,” a third reckoned.
”NO! I wasn’t ready! I’M STILL NOT READY!” a fourth couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Despite being advised by some to ask for free extensions, Elisabetta said she’ll just sport a hat for the time being.
